The old man and Bowflex

by rick gonsalves
(hawaii)

I am a 53 year old male, haven't worked out in 15 years. Got on the scale, and ended up at 361 lbs. Okay time to do something about this.

Years ago I had a gym membership, but after a while it get's old, sure you meet a lot of people make friends, but you end up talking more than working out. So 6 months ago I decided on a Bowflex.

When I first got it, it was a work out just to put it together. But you know I have to say it work's for me. I come home from work, relax for an hour, and then hit the gym (Bowflex).

When I started, to press 180 lbs, boy I was working up a sweat. But as time went on every two weeks I would up the weight. Now 6 months later I bench 310 maxed out the machine, 4 sets of 10.

The machine feels good, You get your routine down, eat right and the weight comes off - so far 64 pounds. But at the same time building muscle. I can see the definition coming back, in my arms, legs, back. I feel much better more energetic.

It's a good all around machine.
