I Have Been Bowflexing Forever

I purchased a Bowflex Home Gym sometime in the early 90s and have been using it ever since. During the time I have had my Bowflex I have used it for daily exercise, to work out muscles that are a little bit harder to target, and I have even been able to use it to do gentle workouts after recovering from injuries/surgery (although I don't think the Bowflex people would recommend it). The power rods needed to be replaced once, but I got them free under warranty in a reasonable amount of time.
Buying a Bowflex home gym is a decent expense, but well worth the money, especially compared to most gym equipment. You can do most exercises easily and it has great support and smoothness. It seemed like it might be complicated to use at first, but switching between modes is actually pretty easy once you do it once or twice.
I think my biggest complaint with the Bowflex is the number of parts that you can lose. Over the 10+ years I have had it I have managed to lose more than half of the detachable pieces it comes with.
In the end, I would highly recommend getting a Bowflex home gym for average, day-to-day body building and exercise. You probably won't end up looking anything like the people on the commercials, but it won't be the Bowflex's fault.
