Dumbbell Shoulder Exercises
Arnold Presses
Tip 1 - Keep your wrists comfortably straight throughout the movement, not allowing them to bend all the way backwards.
Tip 2 - Look forward throughout the movement.
Tip 3 - Avoid arching your back.
Tip 4 - Avoid looking upward at the top of the movement.
Dumbell Presses
Tip 1 - Keep your hands under your elbows throughout the movement.
Tip 2 - Look forward throughout the movement.
Tip 3 - Avoid arching your back.
Tip 4 - Avoid looking up at the top of the movement.
Standing Lateral Raises
Tip 1 - Maintain a slight bend in your elbows throughout the movement.
Tip 2 - Raise your arms to slightly above shoulder level.
Tip 3 - At the top of the movement, rotate your thumbs downward (like pouring water from a pitcher).
Tip 4 - Use light, to moderately light weights.
Reverse Overhead Dumbbell Laterals
Front Dumbell Raises
Tip 1 - Use light to moderate weights.
Tip 2 - Raise your arms to slightly above shoulder level.
Tip 3 - You can also do this movement alternating arms.
Bent Over Dumbbell Laterals
Tip 1 - Look forward througout the movement.
Tip 2 - Keep a slight arch in your back throughout the movement.
Tip 3 - Use light weights.
Upright Rows
Tip 1 - Focus on a pulling with your elbows.
Tip 2 - Keep your elbows higher than your hands throughout the movmement.
Tip 3 - At the top of the movement, you can shrug your shoulders.
Dumbell Shrugs
Tip 1 - Focus on pulling with your shoulders.
Tip 2 - Focus on trying to touch your ears to your shoulders.
Tip 3 - Avoid pulling with your biceps.
