The Bowflex Motivator is the "entry level" home gym offered by Bowflex.

It doesn't have all theexercises or versitility of the more expensive models, but can it still produce the results you want?

Below we look at the Pros & Cons of the Motivator, whether theMotivator can meet your needs, and how you can save $150+ on this home gym.

The Bowflex Motivator - Pros & Cons

Bowflex has been around since 1988 and only in the last 7 years have they begun to advertise on TV. On one hand, this has given Bowflex tremendous growth and notoriety (over 1 million home gyms sold). On the other hand, advertising with infomercials brings a certain air of “cheesiness”.

However, Bowflex is for real.

It’s major benefit is that it allows you to strength train at home without having to have free weights. This makes Bowflex:

  • Easier to train with - no lugging around iron plates or dumbbells (not to mention stubbed toes .
  • Much safer - there have actually been people who have died at home because they didn’t have a spotter to lift a heavy weight off of them. Bowflex eliminates that danger.
  • More “decor” friendly - just fold up your machine and put it into storage.

What are your goals?

If you want to just do the basic exercises, tone up, and get on with your life, the Motivator could be right for you. However, if you enjoy working out, are exceptionally strong, or are in sports, you may want to consider a model with more features. Here are a few key drawbacks of the Bowflex Motivator:

  • Only 210Ib of resistance - 210Ib seems like a lot, but you’ll find that your thighs and calves can handle much more resistance. Other Bowflex models like the Sport, Ultimate 1 & 2, allow you to upgrade your resistance from 310Ib, even up to 410Ib.
  • Bare bones - the Motivator offers 50 exercises (vs. 60-95 with other models). If you only want to tone up and just want to do the “basic” exercises this shouldn’t be a problem.
  • No 6 Week Fitness Challenge Guarantee - with other models Bowflex offers a 6 week money back guarantee. Because the Bowflex Motivator is sold at Sam’s Club, they don’t offer it, nor do they offer it on the Motivator 2, which is sold online.

If the above factors are not issues for you, we can show you where you can get the Bowflex Motivator 2 at a $150 savings.

Or, if the above are issues, we can show you where you can get the Bowflex Sport at a $219 savings.

And actually invest the same amount that you would for the Motivator at Sam’s Club.
