Bowflex Extreme 2 - Results?
To begin, let’s look at what Bowflex says at their website:
"Women lost an average of 16.96 pounds of fat and men lost an average of 27.95 pounds
of fat in only 6 weeks! These people didn't workout every day either. They worked out three
times a week for only about 20-30 minutes. Hey, you can do that too! You can take 20 minutes
out of your day for these kinds of results." Is there a reason to believe that their claim isn't true? No, however, let's look at a few points.
1. Any workout and "eating program" will do the same (especially for people who don't
train regularly.)
2. Notice that pounds lost were "fat pounds." This means when they stepped on the scale the
didn't actually lose "16.96" pounds. Their fat weight was replaced with muscle weight. Of
course that isn't bad, in fact, it's awesome because more lean muscle means a more toned and firm
body.
Let’s look at “why” the Bowflex is a great home gym choice.
Bowflex Extreme 2 - Pros & Possible Cons
Pros
+Squats - enables you to develop and tone your legs from top to bottom. It also
develops
your "core" (stabilizing) muscles.
+Adjustable Cables - allows you to exercise your muscles from different angles and
enables the Bowflex Extreme 2 to adjust to any body type.
+No Cable Changes - enables you to train quickly which shortens your workout, and
burns more calories.
+7 Year Warranty - Bowflex has very good customer service and has been in business
since 1988.
+High Grade Carbon Steal Frame - has been reinforced for added strength.
+Leg Hold Down - keeps you from coming off the seat when using the lat pull down
feature.
Possible Cons
Free Squat - squats can be tricky at first - especially if you aren't used to them. Start
with
a light weight, keep your head up and butt low.
Movability - unlike other Bowflex models, it doesn't fold up nor has wheels for
moving.
$1599 - it's not cheap, but on the other hand, it's not cheaply made either. (Special Note: If you could save $200 to $625 on your Xtreme 2, would you be interested? See below)
No Padded Bar - no padded bar for squats. At heavier resistance (300Ib plus) the bar
can start feeling uncomfortable.
$169 Shipping - $169 for shipping is pricey, but we can show you how to get Free Shipping!

210Ib - 210Ib seems like a lot of resistance, however, you'll find your legs can handle
much more. (Note: you can upgrade the Extreme 2 to 410Ib)
