Bowflex review

by Timmay
(Colorado)

While I do enjoy my bowflex overall the rods have seemed to diminish greatly over the years that it was used. I'm its second owner and it seems one set of 50lb rods on it have different resistances, giving me an uneven workout if I use them.

This problem could be easily solved though, I can get a set of replacement rods for pretty cheap.

If people claim they can bench all of the rods on the machine (310lbs) and they never really workout or anything. They are lying...haha. My moms boyfriend stands by this claim when I know for a fact I can bench at least 50lbs more than him. And I don't come close to using all the rods. Anyways, even with my machine being several years old I find the rods still give a pretty accurate measurement of weight for the most part.

Bought mine used for super cheap.... and I've been extremely happy with it. :)

bowflex rods
by: joe

I just found this site and was wondering about the rods weight accuracy. Just today i found that i can bench the 310 lbs on my machine but just one to three times. and its very tough but i still wonder is it a real 310? i did realize that temperature can change the resistance. anybody have a serious comment?
