Bowflex Dumbbells of My Own

by Sue
(California)

When I first saw the Bowflex SelectTech Dumbbells advertised online, I did not think that they would be a product that I would use extensively. However, a friend of mine picked up a pair and I was curious about them so I went to her place to try them out while doing a workout video we both have. Just by taking one look, I could tell that the SelectTech dumbbells were obviously well constructed, being made of heavy duty plastic. These were obviously not some flimsy, cheap low grade product.

I picked them up off the rack and they rested easily in my grip. They felt just as natural as any other dumbbell I had ever picked up and the grip was smooth and easy on the hands.

When it was time to change exercises from easy to hard ones, I put them back into their mounts to adjust the dial and change their weight. The dial turned easily from 5 to 52.5 pounds (you can also buy a set that goes from 10 to 90 pounds.) I never used the maximum weight, but it's there if you need it! There was a reassuring click between each weight change. The only thing that I didn’t like was when I set them to certain wrights and the weight plate rubbed up against my forearm during some exercises. I ordered my own pair and have used them during every workout since.
